The Odinsberg Tribe is the founding body of the Odinsberg Ancestral Faith Alliance (OAFA)—a coalition of kindreds reviving Norse Dual-Faith, a sacred tradition harmonizing Forn Sidr (Old Ways) and Nyr Sidr (New Path). Rooted in the spiritual legacy of our ancestors, we honor both Norse Polytheism and Christianity, recognizing their historical interweaving and divine synthesis.
Founded by Norse Polytheists and Old Catholic clergy, OAFA is governed by the Odinsberg Tribal Council, which upholds both Apostolic succession and Ancestral authority, ensuring the continuity of our sacred traditions. Within our path, Iesu (Jesus) is revered as a noble chieftain, a divine figure whose wisdom and sacrifice align with the sacred order of the North. The name Odinsberg symbolizes the enduring strength of our clan, the wisdom of Odin, and the sacred bond between past and future.
Through this balanced and ancestral approach, OAFA walks the path of both the Cross and the Hammer, forging a shared spiritual journey that honors heritage, fosters wisdom, and strengthens kinship.
We are the folk of Odinsberg, heirs to the wisdom of our ancestors.
We honor the Old Ways—Forn Sidr—the sacred traditions of the North,
And we embrace the New Path—Nyr Sidr—where faith and heritage unite.
We walk the path of our forebears, forging bonds of kinship and trust.
With reverence, we uphold the sacred balance of the Aesir and Vanir,
And with devotion, we recognize the light of Christ among us.
We stand as guardians of our ancestral faith,
Rooted in honor, courage, and steadfast loyalty.
We seek wisdom in the words of the Havamal,
And find strength in the teachings of our forefathers.
We are keepers of the land, stewards of our kin,
And champions of truth in both word and deed.
Through hearth and hall, through shield and altar,
We forge a future worthy of our past.
This we swear, as the folk of Odinsberg.
Our Shield-Maiden ancestor, a warrior of Birka, Sweden, was laid to rest around 1,000 AD with full battle honors—her weapons and warhorse signifying her status as a leader and strategist. Once believed to be a male viking warrior, DNA analysis confirmed that she was in fact a female, proving that Norse women held positions of power and command.
To the Odinsberg Tribe, she stands as a symbol of strength, wisdom, and the fusion of tradition and faith. As a Norse Dual-Faith kindred, we revere her as a guardian of our path, embodying the balance of ancestral valor and spiritual devotion that defines our tribe.
